The ImageStream X MkII is a benchtop Imaging Flow Cytometer. Our setup is equipped with 6 channels and two different excitation lasers (375 and 488nm). The Amnis combines high-throughput flow cytometry with the cell information provided by standard microscopy. Numerical representations of image-based features allow distinction of different cells or species of phytoplankton and can be combined with machine learning to develop sorting algorithms.
